The Roya Artist Collective amplifies the talent of influential BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creators that seek to redefine today’s culture with their visual storytelling. This zine gives the spotlight to collective artists, photographers, and other creatives who express themes such as gender, identity, community and visibility through their work.

The Roya Artist Collective aims to bring a sense of belonging and self-representation in the editorial space. An early X-era Vogue for the unrepresented masses. Trends and beauty standards that perpetuate normativity can affect the visibility of folks in society who do not identify with a defined majority. The existence of beauty should not radically fit within binaries, but instead be celebrated for its dissimilarities and heterogeneity.
